What advice would you give to 15 year old you?

Last week, on the project, I asked an interesting question.

I thought back to when I was 15. Of course, you are yet to experience the world as a young woman and have many experiences ahead. With this in mind, I asked you to tell me what piece of advice you’d give to 15 year old you if you had the opportunity now.

The response was huge and I thought it would be nice to compile some of the ones which stood out as we can apply these to our own lives today… It’s never too late to make positive changes or to reflect on how we live our lives.

Here are some of my favourites:

“Comparing yourself to anyone is one of the greatest injustices that you can do to yourself.”

“Know your worth, always, in every scenario and be brave enough to not accept anything less.”

“Don’t feel pressured by what everyone else is doing, do what you want to do. Try to think long term and not just for now.”

“LOVE yourself. BE yourself.”

“You’re so much stronger than you know, in all senses of the word.”

“Love yourself and know your own worth… also, listen to mum! She gets it.”

“It’s OK to be different. Validation is not required.”

“Say yes to more opportunities”

“You’re worth so much more… slow down little one.”

and last but not least:

“There aren’t any monsters under the bed, be careful who you trust, be honest even when it may hurt others and be anything you want to be. PS, climb some mountains.”

I think there’s something there for everyone and they certainly gave me a little tear in my eye!

Thank you to everyone who is engaging with the project’s content, we are compiling something pretty amazing.
